Coyoacan: “Where the coyotes roam”
Apple Orchard Block
Previously an apple orchard, this one acre of Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard block was planted in 2013 and is in its prime. Our first harvest for the 2019 vintage was blended into the Roam Wines wine program which we love. The 2020 vintage fruit was dropped due to the Glass Fire but we have been patient and persisted.
We are so very excited to finally release the 2021 Coyoacan Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon vintage, our very first, in 2025!
Cold Springs Block
It all begins with an idea and a little bit of luck. A three acre expansion began in 2019 with about 4,000 vines (Clone 7 and 47) planted in the spring of 2021. This parcel is tucked between three prestigious vineyards: Beringer’s Bancroft Ranch, Clif Family’s Cold Springs Vineyard, and Dana Estate’s Hershey Vineyard.
In 2024 we had our first sizeable crop and were delighted with the quality and flavors of the berries. Can't wait to taste the wine!
Manzanita Block
Planted in 2023, the Manzanita Vineyard Block is our newest addition, located adjacent to a neighbor's vineyard that we admire deeply. Inspired by their exceptional terroir and cultivation practices, we have high hopes for what this block will produce.
This block is dedicated to Cabernet Franc, a varietal known for its elegance, complexity, and versatility. With vines still in their early growth stages, we anticipate our first harvest in 2026, with wines crafted from this fruit gracing tables by 2028.
Patience is a virtue in winemaking, and we believe the wait will be worth it. The Manzanita Vineyard Block promises to be a cornerstone of future vintages, embodying the harmony of location, passion, and time.
